What Happens if a Customer Wants to Cancel a Deal That Was Already Closed?
At CloseDeal, we understand that sometimes customers may need to cancel a deal that has already been closed. Here’s how cancellations are handled depending on the payment method used:
Refund Process
Cancellations for Deals Paid Through CloseDeal
If your customer cancels a deal that was closed and paid for through the CloseDeal app, the app will automatically process the refund to the consumer, your CloseDeal commission and all rewards will be reverted. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience for both the merchant and the customer.
Cancellations for Deals Paid In-Store
If the customer cancels a deal that was paid for in-store, outside of the CloseDeal app, it is the merchant’s responsibility to process the refund. When the store or the consumer cancels a deal, CloseDeal will revert commission on the closed deal and all the rewards.
Important Considerations
Frequent Cancellations: Please note that canceling deals often or in unusual manner can lead to account suspension (inactive status). Consistent cancellations disrupt the transaction flow and impact the overall trust in the platform. To avoid this, ensure clear communication with your customers and manage their expectations effectively.
By understanding these policies, you can handle cancellations efficiently and maintain a positive standing on the CloseDeal platform. If you have any questions or need assistance, our support team is always here to help.
